The Aaghosh Program is a specialized Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) initiative launched under the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP). Governed by the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) with backing from the World Bank, the program is explicitly designed to support pregnant and lactating women, as well as children under the age of 2, primarily in the less-developed districts of Punjab.

As of 2026, the program is strict regarding geographical limits and socioeconomic status. Beneficiaries must navigate a precise registration flow at their local Basic Health Units (BHUs). The following assessment tool acts as a preliminary affidavit to determine if you meet the statutory requirements.

I. PROGRAM GEOGRAPHY (13 DISTRICTS)

Unlike nationwide schemes, the Aaghosh Program is highly localized to combat extreme maternal and child health deficits in specific areas. The 2026 operational districts are limited to 13 regions primarily in South Punjab, including: Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Taunsa Sharif, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Layyah, and Khushab.

II. FINANCIAL DISBURSEMENTS

The financial aid is not delivered as a single lump sum. It is disbursed in tranches conditional upon specific health milestones, ensuring the mother seeks professional medical care.

  • Registration and completion of prescribed antenatal care (ANC) checkups during pregnancy.
  • Institutional delivery at a certified government hospital or Basic Health Unit (BHU).
  • Completion of the child's immunization schedule (EPI) up to the age of two.

III. ENROLLMENT PROCESS FOR 2026

If you pass the eligibility assessment above, you must physically visit your nearest Basic Health Unit (BHU) or Rural Health Center (RHC) within the 13 specified districts. Ensure you carry your original CNIC. The health worker will register you via a digital application, mapping your profile to the PSPA database to initiate the cash transfer.

LEGAL NOTICE: The eligibility criteria stated above are derived from the official mandates of the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) and PSPA. This tool provides an unofficial preliminary assessment. Final eligibility and fund disbursement are strictly subject to verification by government health workers and BISP records. Services at BHUs are entirely free of cost.
