Benazir Nashonuma Programme 2026: Registration, Eligibility & Health Stipend Guidelines
The Benazir Nashonuma Programme is a critical Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) intervention managed by the Government of Pakistan. Operating under the broader umbrella of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) — which saw a 17% budget increase to Rs. 838 billion for FY 2026-27 — Nashonuma aims to tackle the severe issue of child stunting and maternal malnutrition across the country.
Unlike unconditional cash grants, the Nashonuma stipends are strictly tied to health compliance. Beneficiaries must adhere to medical check-ups and nutritional regimens to receive their quarterly payments. This clinical assessment guide will help determine your eligibility for the 2026 enrollment cycle.

کیا آپ تجویز کردہ غذائی پیکٹ (SNF) کے استعمال اور بچے کی مکمل ویکسینیشن کی ضمانت دیتی ہیں؟1. Program Objectives and Stipend Rates
Supported globally by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Food Programme (WFP), the Benazir Nashonuma Programme targets the crucial first 1,000 days of a child's life. The primary goals are to prevent stunting, reduce anaemia, and improve the weight gain of pregnant women.
To incentivize health compliance, BISP provides additional cash transfers per quarter to enrolled families:
- Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW): Rs. 2,000 per quarter.
- Boy Child (Under 2 years): Rs. 2,000 per quarter.
- Girl Child (Under 2 years): Rs. 2,500 per quarter (A higher rate to specifically address female malnutrition and gender disparities).
2. Understanding Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT)
Unlike the unconditional Kafaalat payments, Nashonuma funds are strictly conditional. A mid-term evaluation conducted by the Aga Khan University (AKU) confirmed that enforcing these conditions has resulted in a 20% lower prevalence of stunting at 6 months of age among beneficiaries.
The conditions include mandatory attendance at regular antenatal and postnatal health checks. Mothers must also attend awareness sessions regarding hygiene, sanitation, and dietary diversity, while ensuring their children are immunized according to the national schedule.
3. Enrollment Procedure for 2026
Eligible families must physically visit the Nashonuma Facilitation Centers established at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) or District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals across the country. The enrollment process requires the following documentation:
- Original and valid CNIC of the mother.
- Child's B-Form (issued by NADRA).
- Immunization card (EPI Card) of the child.
